Ingredients
  

  • pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 cups white or brown rice uncooked
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 cup green beans chopped; fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup peas fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or another suitable cooking oil
  • 4 cups water

Method
 

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, set it aside.
  2. Place the ground beef in a large pot and cook over medium heat until fully browned.
  3. Drain excess fat from the cooked beef.
  4. Add the chopped carrots, green beans, peas, and water to the pot.
  5. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Add the cooked rice and olive oil to the pot.
  7. Stir everything together until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  8. Allow the food to cool completely before serving.
